MY STORY
I grew up in Balbriggan, Ireland. I was ambitious, but I had no perfect plan. I just knew I wanted more from life and wanted to do work that mattered.
That took me to Royal Holloway for university, then I started my career in the House of Lords, then ClearView Research, Spellbound and Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. Along the way, I worked in social impact, taught hundreds of people public speaking and delivered more than 300 workshops around employability and skills.
Then everything changed.
When my mum became seriously ill with ovarian cancer, I went home to be with her. She had always found a way through. This time, she didn’t. Losing her changed how I saw time. Waiting started to feel more dangerous than failing.
So, scared and nowhere near ready, I stepped into full-time entrepreneurship.
Since then, I’ve been building programmes, building organisations and rebuilding myself. Some things have worked. Plenty haven’t. But I’ve learned that courage is not feeling fearless. It’s deciding the thing you want matters more than the fear holding you back.
